Here are the captions!

Here is Samanthadolls's caption:

Mae: Uh, what are you doing!?

Maria: I am trying to beat the world record for standing on your hand the longest!

Mae: Well uh, good luck with that! how many more minutes do you have?

Maria: Exactly 17 days!!!

(Mae pushes Maria over)

Maria: Hey!!

Mae: Hehehehe...

Here is Bella's caption:

Mae: *Walks by very quickly* Hi Maria!

*Peers around the corner then walks back to Maria* Um what
are you doing?

Maria: To answer or not to answer....that is the question.

Mae: Ok.....?

Maria: I don't have enough time for gymnastics AND
Shakespeare so I combined them! Next I'm baking bread while jumping rope!

Mae: I'm gonna go.......

Maria: *continues talking as if Mae was still there* ........

Here is Gwen's caption:

Mae: Oh hey! Will you teach me to do a handstand?

Maria: Hush. Brain thinking

Mae: What?

Maria: When you sit for too long the blood pools in your butt, so I'm hand standing to let the blood go to my brain.

Mae: What are you thinking about?

Maria: A book. Where people fly around in whales that are also blimps. Leviathan.

Here is Rukiya Spencer's caption:

Mae: Oh hey...Maria...Are you okay there?

Maria: Oh yeah I'm fine! You know, they say if you stay in this position for an hour with your eyes closed...A vicious lion from the jungle will appear!

Mae: Vicious lion from the jungle would appear? Why would you want that to happen?

Maria: Duh? They're like the cutest animals ever! Where's your common sense Mae, you should try and look for it...

Mae: *Pushes Maria's legs down* Hahahaha...Maria you're so funny (says that in an American accent)

And here is what Allie D thinks they're doing:

Mae is teaching Maria how to do gymnastics stuff because she feels like she doesn't have any talents???

Thanks everybody for Captioning the picture! Now Please vote on your favorite. Those who participated can vote, just not on their own caption.

Have fun!

AGP New York.

Recently it was my birthday and I wanted to go to American Girl Place! I went to the one in New York city and it was amazing. I brought Lilah along and she loved the big city. The store is so big! I have been there before, but I don't remember a lot of it. American Girl has made it so it's not only a store, it's an experience.

There is so much to look at, I could of spent hours there. I really loved browsing the Truly Me floor.  The dolls were so pretty. My very generous Grandparents told me I could pick out a doll as my present... but there were so many! I went in deciding between TM 44 or Kaya, but when I got there I saw TM 58.... I'll show you some pictures and then tell you what doll I ended up getting!

This is 58. Could she get any cuter?

The beautiful Kaya.

The beautiful Grace.

Lilah with 58. I love this one because it looks like 58 is taking the picture.

Caroline is SO pretty. I wish she wasn't retiring!

Ugh I just love her. Especially in pig tails.

Bad picture because the GOTY's were in a cases, but Jess <3

Kanani! Her hair is so long and beautiful.

Kit. If my sister didn't have her, I would consider getting her.

Love these two.

This is one of my favorite pictures from the trip. Love the doll, love the dress, and especially love her hair! It is so silky and pretty, and makes for great pictures!

My dad kept making Lilah photo-bomb my pictures.

Lilah in Grace's bakery.

Another photo-bomb (thanks dad.)

Posing with kit, and half of Josefina!

I just love Caroline. I would consider getting her also, if she didn't look like Lilah.

Lilah wishes she could horse back ride.

Making friends.

I liked this doll also.

She was dreaming that she lived here.

So that's it for the store! I had the time of my life. I was walking around the store and I suddenly thought "If Lilah had a brain, what would she think of this? All these dolls look just like her, but they're behind cases...."

It's actually kind of a strange thought.  Okay, now for what you've all been waiting for....

A blurry picture of my dog! YAY! Oh, whats that you say? You want to see a picture of my new doll? Oh, okay. Well here she is!

Yes, I went with 44. I really love 58 and Kaya, but 44 is the one for me (For now. I hope to ask for 58 for Christmas and eventually get Kaya.) But I am SO happy with my choice. 44 is really special to me because she is the first doll I've ever picked out from the store. All my other ones I've got for Christmas. I can't keep calling her 44, so I'll tell you her name. Her name is Abilieen! I am currently reading The Help, which is where I got the name Abilieen from. In case you are wondering, I really love The Help so far!

So I didn't buy much, other than my doll, but I'll tell you what I did get. I do not by any means mean to sound like I'm bragging. I love when people post AG hauls, so I thought I'd share what I got.

  • I got a hair brush, since AG recommends the wire ones, and I've been using plastic.
  • I got the New York souvenir shirt.
  • And I got the lime glasses Abilieen is wearing! I love them on her!

Gosh, this is a long post. And I'm going to make it longer. Sorry if this takes you days to read.

Here is a little bit of Abilieen's personality (even though I haven't had her long enough to really figure it out.)

She is spunky. She is confident. She stands up for what she believes in. She is outgoing. She is unique. She likes bright colors. Her favorite color is lime green. She is talkative and loud. She wears what she wants, even though it sometimes doesn't match. She is an artist.

So basically she is the exact opposite of Mae, who likes neutral colors and is quiet. I took some pictures of her (which resulted in three mosquito bites) but it was SO worth it. Here's what I got.

I haven't even edited them yet. She is just so stunning.

So that's all! I had a great birthday, and I am so happy about Abilieen. Also, in case anyone is confused... my doll is named Lilah, and I am named Lilah. There are two Lilah's. My doll does not write my blog.
Thanks for reading!

Hope you guys don't mind I'm doing it too! Anyways, here is the picture I want you to caption. The doll on the left is Maria and the doll on the right is Mae. It can be as short or as long as you want!

Please comment! After I get a few comments I'll do a post with everybody's captions and then you can vote on your favorite. I am excited to see what you think they're saying!

My summer reads and Fall to be reads.

I have read some very good books this summer and I thought I'd share some of them with y'all.

The Perfect Place by Teresa E. Harris

I give this book a 9 out of 10. I really liked it! It is the perfect summer read.

That is it for the "already read" list. Pathetic, I know. I have been really busy this summer and I've struggled finding time to read!

I am reading some books right now though.

StarGirl by Jerry Spinelli

I love Jerry Spinelli's books (I have read Loser and Milkweed) so it's no wonder I'm already loving this one. I'm not very far into it, but it's so good! from what I've read so far, I give it a 81/2 out of 10.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K Rowling
Two years ago I started this book, but never got into it. I am kind of feeling the same way. I don't know if I'm going to continue reading it, although I would like to be able to say I've read the whole series, And I also am anxious to watch the movies, but I refuse to watch movies before reading the books. Like I said, I'm not really loving this so I give it a 4 out of 10.

American Girl Meet Addy.
I am pretty sure that Meet Addy was written by Connie Porter. American Girl had several names under author, so I'm not positive.
As part of History this year, I am learning about the civil rights movement and the Underground Railroad. Since Addy is a slave, I am reading it as a fun short read that ties into what I'm reading. Since the American Girl books are intended for kids, they aren't that well written, but I am still enjoying it. From what I've read so far, I give it a 7 out of 10.

Just Plain Nora by Jennifer Hutchins.
This is a short, fun read, and it's really cool, because my internet friend's Mom wrote it! I think thats so cool! It is so sweet and I am enjoying it:) I have not gotten very far, so I haven't really gotten a feel for it yet, but based on what I've read, I give it a 7 out of 10.

On to my TBR's (To Be Reads)
I can't wait to read these!

The Two Princesses Of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine
This sounds really good! Here is the summery* from Amazon:
A kingdom beset by monsters . . .
A disease that weakens and destroys . . .
An epic poem and a hero of long ago . . .
A story of danger and desperation.
The Two Princesses of Bamarre couldn't be more different. Princess Addie is fearful and shy. Her deepest wish is for safety. Princess Meryl is bold and brave. Her deepest wish is to save the kingdom of Bamarre. They are sisters, and they mean the world to each other.
Then disaster strikes, and Addie -- terrified and unprepared -- sets out on a perilous quest. In her path are monsters of Bamarre: ogres, specters, gryphons, and dragons. Addie must battle them, but time is running out, and the sister's lives -- and Barmarre's fate -- hang in the balance.
*I did not write this nor did I participate in writing this. All rights go to Gail Carson Levine and Amazon.

The Face On The Milk Carton by Caroline B. Cooney
This sounds really interesting and kind off eerie... I can't wait to read it! Here is the summery* off Amazon:

No one ever really paid close attention to the faces of the
missing children on the milk cartons. But as Janie Johnson glanced at the face of the ordinary little girl with her hair in tight pigtails, wearing a dress with a narrow white collar—a three-year-old who had been kidnapped twelve years before from a shopping mall in New Jersey—she felt overcome with shock. She recognized that little girl—it was she. How could it possibly be true?

Janie can't believe that her loving parents kidnapped her, but as she begins to piece things together, nothing makes sense. Something is terribly wrong. Are Mr. and Mrs. Johnson really her parents? And if not, who is Janie Johnson, and what really happened?

*I did not write this nor did I participate in writing this. All rights go to Caroline B. Cooney and Amazon.

Have you read The Face On the Milk Carton or The Two Princesses Of Bammarre? Let me know how you liked them!

I know I'm forgetting a book in one of these categories, so if and when I figure it out, I will add it.

Thanks for reading!!!

Summer photoshoot.

This week I had a really great opportunity to take some different photos than I usually do. My yard is really small, so that's why a lot of my pictures look the same, but for this photoshoot I had a lot of space. I think these are some of my best pictures.

                                                              I love this one!

Playing in the buoys.

Mae is so incredibly photogenic.

The sisters.

I am so mad about that one hair hanging in front of face :(

I honestly have no idea why I keep taking this picture. I think she looks really good and kind of dramatic laying down.

This is Maria's personality in a photo. I cannot believe she actually stood like this. I normally can't get her to stand straight.

I am so happy because this is actually a long post compared to my other ones.

I hope you enjoyed!
