New outfit and pictures!

Last night I went to target looking for a specific Our Generation outfit and I was so disappointed when they didn't have it, but they did have a super cute overalls outfit! I ended up buying that one, but does anyone know if the Our Generation outfit To A T is still available? It's not on amazon or Targets website. Please tell me if you know anything about this outfit being discontinued (It has a white shirt whith a girl on it, a dark fushia vest, and blue floral pants.) Anyways, today I brought Lilah (My My american girl) on a car ride to the horse farm! I couldn't get any pictures of her with the horses because there is an electric fence surrounded by bushes around the horses, so there was no good place to get one... But I did get some good pictures of her! Please note these pictures were taken with a phone, not a camera so they're not the best.

This is the new outfit! I think it's so cute

The outfit contains;
An orange shirt
Patterned overalls
White socks
Gardening boots
Plastic watering can
Potted flowers

Here's a quick review.

The shirt.
I really like the shirt! It's a nice color and fits well. The only issue is the neckline is a little to high in my opinion. It kind of wraps around her neck. The only other thing is the fabric is really thin and sheer. This isn't really a problem, just something you should know if you are interested in buying this outfit.

The overalls.
I am in love with the overalls! They are so cute! I love that you can layer them over any shirt. The fabric is also really thin for the overalls.

The socks.
The socks were hard to get on, but they look good when their on.

The boots. I could not get the boots on no matter how hard I tried. I ended up taking an exacto knife and cutting a slit in the back. Now they fit perfectly, but the back is lose.

The flowers. As soon as I took the flowers out of the packaging three of them fell off. They're the kind that you can push back onto the stem, but I think OG should glue them, because it would be very easy to lose them.

The watering can.
There is no problems with the watering can, other than the color. The whole outfit is a subtle color, and then there is a bright pink watering can.

Overall I give this outfit an 8 out of 10!

Here is the pieces that aren't in the pictures I took:

My thoughts on: Seaside fun outfit.

American Girl launched a new clothing line for Truly Me! The clothes are pretty cute so I thought I would do a post on what I think about the seaside fun outfit.
All credit for this photo goes to Americangirl.com

So here are my thoughts.
I love love love the top! I think the colors are nice and I love the pockets and the hoodie:)

Moving on to the shorts,
I don't really like these shorts, because they don't go with the top. The doodles are kind of random and they don't look right with stripes. I also think there is a lack of detail, because there are no pockets. I think that plain cream or ivory colored pair of shirts would go nicely with this outfit.

The sandles,
I like the design of the sandles, but again, the color. The shirt is what stands out in the outfit, so I think everything else should be in that same light color scheme.

Over all I give this out a 6 out of 10. I love the top, and the shoes are okay, but the shorts are ehh.

Thanks for reading! Comment your thoughts on the outfit in the comments!

American Girl Pictures

Yesterday I threw some clothing pieces that I hardly ever use on my Just Like Me doll.  I am so happy I did! I finally found a use for the hat from the old AG garden set (It just never looks right with other outfits.)

The shirt is Kit Kittredge's cardigan backwards, and the dress, which I'm using as a skirt in these pictures, is from a local craft fair vendor.  I love how these pieces look together!

The last picture was inspired by Christina at simplydollightful . She did a post a long time ago called Vintage-y beach photoshoot.  To see that post click HERE

I had a lot of fun with this photoshoot! Thanks for reading!!!

How to: duct tape galaxy bow

In my latest post, I talked about some changes I'd be making to my blog. Well, the changes are happening! I've decided to do more DIY type thing, tutorials and stuff like that. That way there is a point for my blog, instead of just writing a post or two every couple months about something that happened. I'll still post about my life, but that won't be the only thing I post. Here is my first DIY post!

Here is how to make a duct tape galaxy bow with only a few simple steps.

So first, here is a list of supplies you'll need:
• Galaxy duck brand duct tape. You can get this at Micheals or Walmart.
• Mod Podge. If you don't have Mod Podge I think Elmer's glue would have the same effect.
• Glitter. I used purple, dark blue, black, and silver.
• A paint brush.
• An exacto knife (if you don't have one or can't use one, sissors will work, but the tape will be harder to cut.)
• A cutting board.
• A bobby pin or hair clip (if you want to use it as a hair bow.)

To start off cut a six inch strip of duct tape.

After you have the six inch strip, attach another six inch strip to the top of the other peice of tape.

Press down on the tape to seal the two pieces together. Then flip the rectangle of tape over, and add two more six inch strips to the other side, so neither sides are sticky. To avoid wrinkles in the tape, press the tape down starting from left and smoothing it towards the right.
It should look like this,
And then like this.

Cover one side of the duct tape with a thin layer of Mod Podge.

Mix together your glitter colors (I did this in a Dixie cup) and use your finger to spread it around the Mod Podge until it has the amount of glitter you want.

Let dry. Then pinch the middle of the tape like this:

Use a exacto knife to cut a thin strip and wrap it around the middle.

It should look like this! Slip a bobby pin under the thin strip in the back, or use a glue gun to attach a hair clip. Then your done!!!

             Enjoy your hair bow!!!

More american girl stuff

Okay so it may seem like this has turned into an all american girl blog, but I'm planning new, exciting stuff for the future! Stay tuned to see that! Until then, I wanted to show you another american girl shirt I made:) I made it out of fleece, tacky glue, a big green button, a needle and some thread, and three little

buttons. It only took about a half hour, not including drying time, and I think it turned out really nice.
Sorry these pictures aren't the best, today was busy and I wasn't up for having a photoshoot.

I might take some better pictures tomorrow
